Barcelona strom into the last 8

I am speechless after watching yesterday's match, I know that Stuttgart are probably not considered as one of the world's best teams but what Barcelona did to them yesterday would send chills down any opposition's spine.

It was great to see Pep bench Ibra for the first half keeping in mind he is the world's second most expensive player and played Henry instead. We were playing without Xavi aswell, he was left out due to an injury he picked up during training.
Per match Pep was quoted saying he was going to bring in an attacking surprise for the visitors and boy did he bring one. When the initial line up was rolled out it was Valdes, Alves, Pique, Puyol, Maxwell, Yaya, Busquets, Iniesta, Pedro, Messi and Henry not many surprises there since we had already seen Henry play center in the Valencia match .
But then after seeing Yaya the Beast himself reincarnated playing in mid-field I understood Pep's intent.Yaya was paired along side Iniesta and was seen stomping towards the opposition D every chance he would get which eventually resulted in a beautiful assist for pedro scoring the second goal.

Stuggard started like they always did attacking and disruptive trying to make full use of the fact that Xavi was not playing. After a early mix-up in our box which we were easily able to deal with we began our assault with our usual impeccable and simple football of touch.

Soon after we got the ball moving we were rewarded not with just a goal but a chance to see in my honest opinion the world greatest player and a legend in the making score in the form of none other than Messi. When Messi took the ball and waltzed laterally across the front of the defense, Stuttgart  had to play Messi for the pass but instead Messi played the ball to his favored foot instead of an attacker and blasted the ball to the net leaving Leaman with no chance of stopping his sublime shot, and with just over 13mins on the clock we were 1 goal ahead.
Stuttgart's defense were left totally in shock & awe. From that point on it just seemed like they had no chance. Stuttgart realized they were playing against a player with out of this world skills and who was totally unplayable or lets just say unstoppable.

Soon after Messi's first goal, Pedro scored. A beautiful sequence of passes led the ball to Messi's feet which he then chipped to Yaya who then passed a perfect ball to Perdo who made no mistake when the chance presented itself and put it into the back of the net and just like that we were 2 goals up and the game had run away from Stuttgart completely.

Then it was time for the thrid goal Pedro played to Dani Alves who just taps it to Messi who spins and puts the ball all the way back of the right side netting.

To add insult to injury Bojan who was brought in towards the end of the game, who hardly had time to get his feet in was fed a pass by Ibra which he then guided to the back of the net.

What a sensational performance by Barcelona, truly a treat to watch. If we continue to play in this fashion we are sure to lift the throphy in the Bernabeu .
